July 30th 2010 Update from the Sheriff office regarding Threats from Sup. Sockwell

I have spoken over the phone with Lt. McNally regarding my complaint against Sup. Sockwell for Threats and Intimidation as his statements in the Bullhead Bee NewsPaper of July 16 2010 in violation of the Arizona Revised Statutes §13-1202 Threatening or intimidating.

This is what was said:

8:45 am
Lt. NcNally : Yes Sir, I got the case from the Deputy that you had come in to file a suspicious report regarding Sup. Sockwell.
We are closing that because there is no crime that has been committed, and I would suggest you need to find out what Sockwell meant by his remarks by giving his office a call directly yourself and ask him what he talking about in the newspaper.

Luca: That is why we have a Sheriff Dept., I should not have to go to someone directly that has potentially committed a crime, I didn't know I was supposed to do that myself, that is why I filed a report, Sockwell intimidated and threatened me, Did you talk to Sockwell?

McNally: No we did not speak to Sockwell.

Luca: Excuse me but then why do we have a Sheriff's office?

McNally: I do not want to get involved in this conversation as far as why we have a sheriff's office. I am just telling you we closed the case.

Luca: As a tax payer, I am not happy, I do not want to deal with this myself, I thought the sheriff would be the one to investigate this>

McNally: OK, I understand your position, and at this point the investigation has been closed.

My conclusions: Since the sheriff office has just admitted that it won't even ask to Supervisor Sockwell about his alleged threats, and I must conclude that we are left on our own to defend our rights and our persons, I please ask to the Media and our elected officials Sen. Ron Gould, State Rep. Nancy McLain, State Rep. Doris Goodale to ask to Supervisor Sockwell what he meant when he stated in the Bullhead Bee :

"Sockwell expressed concern that the recall supporters might cross the line in the future. "One of these days, these people are going to go off the deep end and they're going to find themselves in a whole bunch of trouble if they keep this up." Sockwell said. "There is no sense in this."

Around 10.30 am I have left a message to Sheriff Sheahan assistant Debbie Fransen to have the Sheriff return my call for explanation. I did not get any call back at this time.

July 27 2010 Updated News: Complain Filed vs Sup Sockwell with Sheriff Office for Threats and Intimidation

I have filed a complaint with Officer Merrymer against Supervisor Tom Sockwell for Threats and Intimidation according to the ARS 13-1202. The lady officer was very professional and corteous.
She read the article of the Bullhead Bee and she copy and paste the final part in the report with Sockwell statement.
She did call over the phone Reporter Dave Hawkins that confirmed the authenticity of Sockwell's statement.
"Sockwell expressed concern that the recall supporters might cross the line in the future.
"One of these days, these people are going to go off the deep end and they're going to find themselves in a whole bunch of trouble if they keep this up." Sockwell said. "There is no sense in this."

She also verified that the Bullhead paper was in the jurisdiction of the sheriff dept.
The report will be available within 2 days and I will publish a a copy of it on this page.
She is forwarding the case to the County Attorney office where he will decide on what to do. My concern is not just for my person, but also my wife and all the other volunteers of the recall sockwell effort. As law abiding Citizens exercising our first amendment, we find disturbing the threats of Supervisor Tom Sockwell. This type of behavior belongs to a third world dictatorial country, not to America, not to a public servant that should have an higher standard among us.
What does Sup Sockwell mean when he says "they are going to go off the deep end?"
What means deep end? the end of a lake, the ocean? or what?
"they're going to find themselves in a whole bunch of trouble?"
What type of trouble? and why? and who is going to give us trouble?
"if they keep this up."
Does he mean if we keep exercising our right of freedom of speech and redress our grievances?

I appreciate all the help of the media, our Sheriff Dept. and Elected Officials Sen. Ron Gould, Rep. Nancy McLain, Rep. Doris Goodale in getting clarification in this very disturbing episode happened in Mohave County.

Recall Sockwell Data, Numbers and Feelings 3420 Signatures!
The Recall is over or just Begun???

Tom SockwellThere is a law of Physic that says: "Every Action has an Equal and Opposite Reaction."
And this is what can happen to a public servant like Mohave County Supervisor Tom Sockwell betrays his oath of office to defend and uphold the US and AZ Constitution and he tries to rewrite our Bill of Rights creating unconstitutional County Ordinance that violates our Freedom of Speech on public County property.
As Sam Adams once said “It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people’s minds”, today we are the living proof that a few dedicated men and women can really brush fires in people's mind. For the resources we had, we have accomplished a historical task and I will let the posterity be the judges of our efforts. Here is The Recall Sockwell in numbers
In less than 4 months we have collected 3420 signatures.
Yes me missed by few signatures the number of the Recall... but see the recall not as the end but just the beginning... :)

Total number of volunteers that have started 49
Total of of volunteers that have stayed in the fight since the beginning till the last day = 7 seven

A final message for Tom Sockwell: You ain't Seen Nothing yet...

Since our claim has been ignored (the deadline for an answer was July 3rd) my lawyer will start the real “recall” next week suing Mohave County and Supervisor Tom Sockwell for violation of Rights, Conspiracy against Rights, Destruction of public Records, Defamation of Character...

A message for who is coming after Sockwell and all the Public Servants that will serve in Mohave County:
You mess with our Bill of Rights and this is just a pale taste of the political pain you will face.

Now it's time to Recall Supervisor Gary Watson. Today the fire of Liberty has spread out in Mohave County, District 1 resident Eric Duran has pulled the papers to initiate the Recall of Supervisor Gary Watson. Go to RecallWatson.com

The recall is just a tool not the end... and the final goal is to spread truth and accountability of our public servants, while hopefully inspiring other fellow Americans in getting involved in taking back our Country and our God given Rights.

Recall Mohave County Supervisor Tom Sockwell...
here some good reasons!!

1) Sockwell neglected to perform his duties according to Article 2, Section 2 of the AZ Constitution to protect & maintain individual rights of his constituents.
2) Sockwell Violated ARS 11-410 by allowing county resources & employees to influence the re-election of Sen. John McCain.
3) Sockwell denied citizens (under color of law) 1st & 14th amendment (at Sen. McCain Town Hall meeting) protected under the U.S. And AZ state Constitution.
4) Sockwell refused to return calls or e-mails from a taxpaying constituent regarding public business.
5) Sockwell used his position of office to intimidate and defame constituents through several newspapers.
6) Sockwell voted for the latest unconstitutional County 'policies' that violate 1st, 2nd, & 4th Amendments.

80 years old US Marine Veteran Dean Jacobs collects over 1000 signatures to Recall Mohave County Supervisor Tom Sockwell!!!!

Dean Jacobs recall sockwell
Dean Jacobs, from Bullhead City, AZ, a USMC Veteran born in 1930, is a proud volunteer with the Recall Supervisor Sockwell team. He has collected (so far) over 800 signatures for the Recall. Not too bad for an 80 year old Marine.
With a few more weeks before the deadline of the recall (July 15) Dean is looking forward to reaching the incredible mark of 1000 signatures.
Withstanding the extreme heat in Bullhead City, Mr. Jacobs drives around town almost every day collecting signatures with his calm and courteous manner. He is focused and determind to let the public know about County Supervisor Tom Sockwell's UNCONSTITUTIONAL County Ordinances that he passed a few months ago, limiting our Freedom of Speech on County Property, along with his unethical behavior with some of his constituents.
Mr. Jacobs took an oath to defend the Constitution when he served in the US NAVY, and after many years, Mr. Jacobs is still fulfilling his oath exposing Tom Sockwell's unconstitutional voting record and fighting for our Freedom of Speech.
Other 'patriots' and Mohave County residents that have complaints about this BOS could sure take a little lesson from Dean Jacobs. Actions speak louder than words.
Dean shows us how the men are separated from the boys.
Dean Jacobs was with Luca Zanna and Bridget Langston November 13 2009 on County Property when they were denied under color of law to exercise their first amendment right, when they were intimidated by Sup. Buster Johnson and ordered to stop passing out Sen. McCain voting record.
